Fr. Greg Morgan, fmvd

Fr. Greg grew up in the outskirts of Sydney as part of a large Catholic family. However, his journey to the priesthood was still unexpected. In 1986, Fr. Greg became the first Australian to discern a priestly vocation as a member of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity. He then spent many years travelling overseas and undertook his formation and eventual ordination.

As a missionary, Fr. Greg has travelled extensively during the past 27 years to every inhabited continent (except Antarctica!).  Apart from English, he is fluent in Spanish and Italian and has developed some language skills in German also.

In December 2013, Fr. Greg returned to Sydney from overseas to take the position of Administrator at St Joseph’s Catholic Parish in Rosebery. He is particularly happy to now be back “home” and is very enthusiastic about being part of this community.

Fr. Greg is a believer in working with the parishioners to build the Kingdom of God. Please feel free to contact Fr. Greg to discuss any concerns, offer services or just have a chat!
